Make-Up Day Policy
Playgroup Photos does not operate standard make-up days.
Unlike school photography programs where thousands of students can be scheduled in a single location, childcare photography requires individual sessions and carefully planned schedules.
Introducing make-up days creates significant challenges including:
• disruption to centre schedules
• additional administrative workload
• complex gallery and editing workflows
• delays in delivering photographs to families
For these reasons, make-up sessions are not part of our normal photography program.
Wet Weather Rescheduling
Childcare photography is primarily conducted outdoors or using natural light, and in rare circumstances severe weather may prevent photography from taking place as planned.
If weather conditions make photography impractical or unsafe, Playgroup Photos may need to reschedule the scheduled photography day for the entire centre.
In this situation:
• A new photography date will be arranged directly with the centre
• Families who were registered for the original date will automatically remain registered for the rescheduled day
• No additional action is required from parents
Please note that wet weather rescheduling applies only when an entire photography day cannot proceed due to weather conditions.
Individual absences caused by rain, late arrivals, or changes in attendance do not qualify for a separate make-up session.
Important
Playgroup Photos does not schedule individual make-up sessions due to weather-related absences.
Our photography program is carefully scheduled across many centres, and additional make-up days create significant disruption to photography schedules and gallery production timelines.
Exceptional Circumstances
In very rare cases, a make-up opportunity may be considered where:
• the child was registered prior to the deadline, and
• the child was absent due to illness or an unavoidable circumstance, and
• Playgroup Photos is already returning to the centre for another scheduled photography day
Please note that:
• Make-up opportunities cannot be guaranteed
• Additional travel or dedicated photography days will not be scheduled for individual requests
