Childcare Photographer – Subcontractor (Weekday Mornings)

Sydney | Central Coast | Newcastle & Hunter

Playgroup Photos is an established childcare photography company seeking professional, calm and reliable photographers to join our team as subcontractors.

This role offers structured weekday work, full training, and ongoing bookings during school terms. It suits photographers who enjoy working with children and value consistency, professionalism, and purpose-driven photography.

About the Role

  • Attend childcare centres on weekday mornings (typical start 8:00am)

  • Photograph children aged 0–6 years

  • Individual, sibling and small group photography

  • Work within real childcare environments using supplied backdrops and props

  • Maintain a calm, positive presence with children and educators

  • Minimum 3–4 hour shoots

  • Minimum availability 2–3 weekdays per week during school terms

What You’ll Bring

  • Photography experience (professional experience preferred)

  • Confidence working with young children and adults

  • Full camera kit (DSLR or Mirrorless + suitable portrait lenses)

  • Working knowledge of Lightroom and/or Photoshop

  • Working knowledge of Mac or PC computer systems

  • Reliable internet access for file transfer and communication

  • Ability to upload image files to our secure servers daily after each shoot

  • Strong communication and time-management skills

  • Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

  • Valid ABN and Working With Children Check

This Role Is Not

  • Weekend or event photography

  • A one-off or casual “once in a while” gig

It is structured, repeatable weekday work with clear standards and support.
